Process

The figure below presents the general industrial process flow with the OptiCept™ processing system:

The pre-processed (e.g. sorted, washed, cut) products enter the Opti-Cept system where they are PEF and VI treated. In the OptiCept™ processing system different recipes can be chosen depending on the product. OptiCap™ contains the specific compounds that are optimal for each type of product. After the treatment, the food will be forwarded for post-processing (e.g. drying, packing, and freezing).

Although the OptiCept™ works as described above, there are small differences in process based on the application areas (click here for background information of the application areas). The figure below describes the process flow for the different application areas:
