Process

The figure below presents the general industrial process flow with the OptiCept™ processing system:

The food enters from the left where it’s pre-processed (e.g. sorted, washed, cut). The food then enters the OptiCept™ system where it gets the PEF and VI treatment. In the OptiCept™ processing system different recipes can be chosen depending on the wanted treatment. OptiCap™ contains the specific compounds that are optimal for each type of food. After the treatment, the food will be forwarded for post-processing (e.g. drying, packing, and freezing).

Although the OptiCept™ works as described above, there are small differences in process based on the application areas (click here for background information of the application areas). The figure below describes the process flow for the different application areas:
